Q. Do I have to be on Shopify Plus to take advantage of Submarine?

Yes - Submarine is designed specifically for Shopify Plus merchants and takes advantage of a number of features available only to Plus merchants.

If your brand isn’t currently on Shopify Plus though, feel free to reach out to [email protected] if you think Submarine could be a good fit down the line.

Q. Does Submarine provide a staging or sandbox environment?

Yes. Submarine has a fully-functional staging environment, and we encourage all merchants to set Submarine up on a development or staging Shopify store for testing and development purposes. In the staging environment, sandbox payment provider credentials can be used during testing.

Q. How do I know if Submarine is experiencing an outage?

Q. I'm using Safari and having problems accessing the Submarine Admin UI in Shopify

You might need to update a Safari setting - head to Preferences and select the Privacy tab. Disable the 'Prevent cross-site tracking' option, and refresh your Submarine page. If you continue experiencing this problem or you're using a browser other than Safari, reach out to us at [email protected].

Q. I have Submarine installed on my store. Why do I see a blank page when trying to see my subscriptions data?

You may need to clear your browser cookies. Open the developer console on your browser and go to the Application tab. Open Cookies from the menu, right-click the line and select to clear. Finally, refresh your page.

Q. Can I use multiple features of Submarine in one store (Subscriptions, Stored Cards, Memberships)?

You most certainly can.

Q. My store uses discount codes, will these work with subscriptions?

Yes. Submarine supports flexible approaches to both discount code and Shopify Script driven discounts that can be customised on a per merchant basis.

Q. What payment platforms can Submarine integrate with?

Currently Submarine integrates with Braintree, Stripe, Cybersource, and KOMOJU. If you're wanting to use Submarine but looking to go with a different payments provider, get in touch with us at [email protected].

Q. What sort of reporting is available in Submarine?

You're able to export all of your subscriptions/memberships into a csv file and see information such as customer details including addresses, subscription creation dates, next scheduled order dates, frequencies, payment method types, order amounts, and product SKUs and quantities.
