Skipping subscription orders

Only subscriptions in active, flagged, or payment failure states can have their subscription orders skipped or unskipped.

Subscriptions in pending, paused, pending cancellation or cancelled states cannot have their subscription orders skipped or unskipped.

Subscription Orders which have been processed or cancelled cannot be skipped or unskipped.

We've defined a “leading skipped subscription order” as one that is either the first upcoming subscription order, or one that is preceded by only skipped subscription orders.


  • Leading skipped subscription orders are ignored when any change to the subscription affects the schedule. For example, if orders 001 and 002 are skipped, they will not retain any change made to the subscription.
  • You are unable to change the next order date of a subscription if it falls on the same day as a skipped order.
